The Pittsburgh Steelers can capture the AFC North crown this weekend with a win over division rival Cleveland. The two bitter adversaries are scheduled to meet this Sunday, January 2nd at Cleveland Browns Stadium; the game will be broadcast live on CBS. NFL Week 17 Predictions are favoring the Black and Gold at -6 points on the road; the game total is currently set at 37.5.
Pittsburgh rebounded from its unexpected 
week 15 home loss to the Jets by thumping the Carolina Panthers 27-3 last Thursday at Heinz Field. The Steelers, even with two lost fumbles, were dominant in all facets, recording 22 first downs and 408 yards while holding John Fox's squad to seven first downs and a ridiculous 119 total yards.
Ben Roethlisberger completed 22-of-32 passes for 320 yards and one touchdown in the easy victory, which improved the Steelers overall record to 11-4 and its home record to 5-3.
A win on Sunday and Pittsburgh will clinch its third AFC North title in the last four years. That seems like a foregone conclusion at this juncture considering the Steelers dominance over the Browns in recent seasons. Pittsburgh has won nine of the last 10 meetings between these two teams and eight of the last 10 at Cleveland. The Browns did snap an eight game losing streak against the Steelers at home last season, though, upsetting Pittsburgh 13-6.
Cleveland has only two things to play for this weekend, those being pride and, perhaps, Eric Mangini's job. The Browns, which are 5-10 overall, turned things around mid-season by winning four of six from week seven through 13; however, they have reverted back to their losing ways of late and ride a three game losing streak into Sunday's meeting with the Steelers.
Cleveland's misfortunate run has included losses to Buffalo and Cincinnati, leaving Mangini's tenure with the club in serious danger. General Manager Mike Holmgren has yet to make a decision, but four straight losses and a 5-11 finish to the season would almost certainly lead to a head coaching change.
NFL Week 17 Predictions Betting Trend: The Steelers are 7-2 against the spread and 9-0 straight up in their last nine games as a road favorite against an AFC North team with a spread between 4 and 7.5.
