Rutgers enters the regular-season finale at 6-5 overall and 4-2 in BIG EAST play after a 30-3 non-conference win over Army last Saturday. After opening the season at 1-5, the Scarlet Knights have won five straight, including wins over UConn, Pitt and South Florida, to reach bowl eligibility.
Thursday's match-up marks the eighth meeting all-time between the Cardinals and Scarlet Knights. Rutgers owns a 5-2 series advantage after the Cardinals defeated the Scarlet Knights, 41-38, last season at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The Cardinals have won two of the three meetings since Louisville joined the BIG EAST in 2005.
