NFL Picks: Miami Dolphins vs Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Odds Week 14: With huge playoff implications on the line, interstate rivals will collide this afternoon, as the (6-6) Miami Dolphins [+2½] take on the sports betting odds favorite (7-5) Jacksonville Jaguars [-2½]. Jacksonville Municipal Stadium will be the sight for this game, which is scheduled to kick off at 1:05 PM ET (10:05 PM PT) on CBS Sports.

This will be the first time that Miami visits JMS in more than six years. The last time these teams faced each other, during the 2006 season, Jax quarterback David Garrard lit up the Fins defense, passing for 229 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-10 win. According to NFL Odds makers at SPORTSBOOK.com, the OVER/UNDER for this Miami Dolphins vs Jacksonville Jaguars Week 14 affair has been set at a combined total of 43½ points.

For the visiting Dolphins, they’re coming off a huge divisional win last week against the New England Patriots. With the way both of these teams like to move the ball, this game is certainly expected to be a showdown between running backs, Ricky Williams vs Maurice Jones-Drew.

"It's going to be an in-state rivalry. It's going to be like a best-friends brawl," Jones-Drew said on the team’s official site. "Watching them play on tape heightens everybody's sense of awareness."

But if last game was any indication, the Jags defense will have much more to worry about than just the ground game. Former Wolverine, Chad Henne passed for a career-high 335 yards against the Pats D, as Miami pulled off a nail-biting upset over the Patriots, 22-21.

"The guy just keeps bouncing back," Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said. "I love the kid because his demeanor doesn't change at all. He could throw a touchdown pass, he could bring it down the field in the fourth quarter, or he can throw one to the other team – whatever, this guy's demeanor just doesn't change. He's rock-solid that way."

But winning today will not be easy against a team that’s looking for a 6th consecutive win in front of its home crowd. At this point in the season, Jacksonville controls its own playoff destiny.

"It feels good," wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker stated. "We're happy to be in a position to play in January. There's not many teams that have hope to be thinking about the playoffs right now. We control everything. We're in full control of whatever we want to do. It feels good, but we're not content."
