Chicago White Sox Baseball Predictions 2010: As the Chicago White Sox kickoff another year with Spring Training, rumors about potential trades are heating up. With less than a month left before Opening Day, White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen will have to do a good job of not letting trade rumors affect his team’s preparation for the regular season. But how good are Guillen’s chances of winning another title in Chi-Town?
According to Baseball Predictions 2010 experts at SPORTSBOOK.com, the Chicago White Sox [+2000 ML] will go into the season with pretty mediocre odds to win the 2010 World Series. MLB Betting Odds makers have also projected the Chicago White Sox [+160 ML] to be the second sports betting odds favorites to win the American League Central behind the favorite Minnesota Twins [+150 ML].
“Right now, I like the team we have,” Guillen said. “We have a general manager [in Ken Williams] who keeps things quiet, thank God. And when he makes deals, it's for a reason. But we plan to have Gordon for a long time. I don't see why people are still talking about it.”
As far as the rumors of Adrian Gonzalez being traded in a deal that could include Beckham are concerned, the ever-outspoken Sox manager addressed the issue this week. “That's all a TV thing” said the Venezuelan manager. “Gordon, [Gavin] Floyd and [John] Danks … those names are going to come up. And we have to deal with that every time they talk about the White Sox trying to make a deal.
“Believe me, right now it's not in our plans. Maybe two weeks from now, that's a different thing. But it's not in the plans right now.”
