The Mets will counter with Oliver Perez (1-0, 0.00), who allowed five hits and struck out eight in six innings of a 13-0 rout at Florida. Perez was one of the few Mets to perform over the second half of the season last year, but he struggled against the Phillies with a record of 0-2 in three starts and an ERA of 5.40.
