Los Angeles Dodgers (13-7) vs. San Francisco (9-9) Giants Baseball Predictions: AT&T Park in the beautiful East Bay will be the sight for this heated, National League West Divisional showdown between the first place, Los Angeles Dodgers [-160 ML] versus their interstate rivals, the third place San Francisco Giants [+150 ML].
The Dodgers come into tonight’s contest, losers of their last two, 6-4 for their last 10 games played along with a road mark of 7-7. On the hill tonight for Joe Torre and the Blue team will be the undefeated, RHP Chad Billingsley
(4-0, 2.05 ERA).
Meanwhile, the Giants come in winners of 1, are 7-3 for their last 10, and an impressive 7-2 home record. Toeing the rubber foe the home team tonight will be, LHP Jonathan Sanchez (1-1, 3.65 ERA).
Dodgers’ second year manager, Joe Torre is of course no stranger to rivalries coming over from the Big Apple. Torre is now on a different team, league, a dissimilar time zone, the opposite coast, etc. yet the media can’t wait to ask him about the Dodgers-Giants rivalry and how it compares to Yankees-Red Sox.
"You've got some people who love to aggravate," Torre said of the AT&T Park fans. "I grew up with the rivalry (as a Giants fan living in Brooklyn), obviously in the same city. We certainly know what that uniform represents. I find the rivalry, for the Dodgers, as the team you love to hate. And people here in San Francisco, and I saw it in Oakland managing in the American League, the people here let you know how they feel."
Sports-Odds Baseball Predictions: [L.A. Dodgers -160 ML]
