Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham was voted Major League Soccer's Player of the Week for Week #6. The Galaxy has a record of 2-2-2 and a total of 8 points which is just one back of the top spot in the Western Conference. Beckham helped lead the Galaxy to a come back win against Real Salt Lake. Beckham scored both goals as the Galaxy rallied from down 2-0 to get the 2-2 tie. This is the second Player of the Week award for Beckham this season and the third straight for the Galaxy. Beckham won the award in Week #2 as well. Teammate Landon Donovan won the award in Weeks #4 and #5. Soccer Betting at SBG Global.
Beckham has been excellent this season for the Galaxy. In their six games he has three goals and four assists and has played all 540 minutes. Los Angeles is the league leader in goals with 13.  In other MLS news, the Galaxy announced that before their home game on Saturday against New York they will host a "Showbiz" soccer game. Many celebrities will be on hand to play in the game. Stars from American Idol and the Bachelor are expected to play. Judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli from Dancing with the Stars are expected to be in attendance. Actors Julian Sands, Michael Sheen, and Anthony LaPaglia are scheduled to appear. Other TV stars from popular soaps The Young and the Restless, General Hospital and Days of Our Lives are expected to play. Also, former soccer stars Alexi Lalas, Cobi Jones, and Frank LeBoeuf will be on the field for the game.
