Despite Eovaldi’s early success, the Dodgers are 0-3 in his three starts, losing each contest by just one run.
The Angels will counter Eovaldi with 31 year old southpaw C.J. Wilson. Wilson, who will be making his 14th start of the season tonight, is 7-4 with a 2.39 ERA this season. He last pitched on Friday night, going eight innings in a 7-2 win at Colorado. Wilson allowed just five hits, one earned run, and one walk in the victory; he also struck out nine. The Angels are 5-1 in Wilson’s last six appearances.
