Minnesota Twins(55-44) at New York Yankees (54-45): The middle game of this 3-game set between the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees has a scheduled start of 7:05 pm ET from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The Yankees registered their 8th consecutive win Monday night, as they have yet to drop a game coming out of the All-Star break. At BodogLife.com the New York Yankees are -120 betting odds favorites to win game 2 against the visiting Minnesota Twins (Even). The Bronx Bombers were able to get Johnny Damon back in the lineup for Monday’s opener with the Twins. However, for New York the injury bug continues to cripple their roster. All-Star catcher Jorge Posada seems to be headed for the 15-day DL, after ongoing problems with his left shoulder. After repeated attempts, the shoulder isn't right, and surgery might be in his near future, which would cost Posada the remainder of the season. Joe Girardi is hoping that the 15 days off Posada will get on the DL, will improve his condition. Joe Molina will continue to fill in for Posada, as he has been terrific defensively, leading the majors in throwing out potential base-stealers at a ridiculous 50%. Of course the Yankees have been without the services of the Japanese import OF/DH Hideki Matsui. Matsui, who has been on the DL for some time now, and has also been speculated he will not be returning until next season.
