Los Angeles Dodgers vs Arizona Diamondbacks MLB Betting: Things are beginning to heat up in the National League West, as just one game separates the Arizona Diamondbacks (55-52) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (54-53).

Tonight, these teams start off a very important 4-game series, which may either create some needed distance for the D-Backs, or may finally give the Dodgers the outright lead in the division. In game 1, both teams’ betting odds ML is dead even at -110, and the OVER/UNDER is set at a combined 6½ total runs at SBGglobal.com.

Well, so much for the Arizona Diamondbacks and their chances to hold on to that lead in the NL West, as “Hollywood-Manny” comes to Joe Torre’s rescue.

Wait… wait… wait… Joe Torre and Manny Ramirez? Awkward… but true. Yes, Manny Ramirez will now be wearing Dodger blue along side his old friend (Yankees’ ex-manager) Joe Torre.

The trade couldn’t come at a better time for LA, as they are in the midst of a division battle with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers have been on the D-Backs’ heels for some time now, but haven’t been able to get over the hump.

Manny might just be what they need to take this team to the next level. In tonight’s pitching match up, a definite Cy Young candidate will toe the rubber for Arizona as RHP Brandon Webb (14-4, 3.14) faces off against RHP Derek Lowe (8-8, 3.74).
