Milwaukee Brewers at Atlanta Braves MLB Preview: After taking a home beating at the hands of the Chicago Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers have shown to be a resilient team. Last night they started a road series at the Atlanta Braves, coming in losers of 5 straight games. But the Brew-crew responded in grand fashion, by putting a hurt on the struggling Braves en route to a 9-0 onslaught. In game 2 with CC on the mound, the Milwaukee Brewers are -195 betting odds favorites to win this game at the Atlanta Braves (+175) according to the folks at BodogLife.com. Tonight, things aren’t looking much better for the Braves, as they will face LHP C.C. Sabathia (10-8, 3.33 ERA). By allowing the Chicago Cubs (65-45) to sweep at Miller Park, the Milwaukee Brewers (61-49) have now fallen to 4 games behind the top spot in the National League Central standings. However, the Brewers can now count on a good chance at winning every 5th day, which is when Sabathia takes the mound. Not only is the reigning Cy Young winner a menacing presence on the hill, but he can also hit. At BodogLife.com, this is the best line if you happen to be a Brewers fan: MIL -1.5 (-130) vs. ATL +1.5 (+110) and the OVER/UNDER which has been set at a total of 8.5 runs. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves (50-59) are currently in 4th place in the National League East, as 9 games now separate them from the top spot. Tonight, Bobby Cox’s rookie starter, RHP Charlie Morton (2-4, 7.26), will have the very tough tasks of going against one of the best pitchers today, and trying to contain one of the most potent offenses in the NL.
