Twins in tough against Blue Jays, the Minnesota Twins are battling on all sides of the American League, as they are tied with Chicago for first in the Central as of Wednesday, and they are also chasing Boston for the wild-card spot, which puts a lot of pressure on anyone wanting to bet on the Twins. On Thursday, they will conclude a three-game series at Rogers Center with the Toronto Blue Jays, who have been playing the role of spoiler, which plays with the World Series odds as well. MLB oddsmakers at Betonline.com currently have the Blue Jays at -115 betting odds vs Twins (+108) heading into this MLB picks matchup.

Minnesota Twins at Toronto Blue Jays – 7:07 PM ET

Kevin Slowey (11-8, 3.70) has won his last four decisions, and he mowed down ten Oakland batters in a 12-2 rout on the road. The 24-year-old righthander also allowed two runs on six hits over six innings, and this marked the fifth consecutive time in which he has given up two runs or fewer. Slowey is throwing like a veteran after a brutal 0-4 start to the season, as he tries to help Minnesota back to the postseason for the first time since 2006. However, he dropped his lone start against the Blue Jays this season, giving up three runs on five hits over 5 2/3 innings of a 5-3 loss at home.

Jesse Litsch (9-8, 4.01) has pitched pretty well since coming back from the minors to work on his game, but he was saddled with the loss in his last start as the Blue Jays were edged 3-2 in Tampa Bay. Litsch was knocked for three runs on ten hits over 6 2/3 innings, giving up a run for the first time in his three starts back up with the big team. He also gave up a pair of homers to the Rays, but all things considered, Litsch gave the Blue Jays a chance to win the game, but as usual, their offense fell short. Litsch was on the winning end of that 5-3 game in Minnesota, giving up a pair of runs on four hits over 5 2/3 innings

The Blue Jays took the opener of this series by coming back from a 5-1 deficit to beat Minnesota 7-5 on Tuesday, making the fifth straight loss at the Rogers Center for the Twins. In fact, heading into Wednesday’s game, the Blue Jays had won seven in a row against the Twins. Slowey gives them an excellent chance to break the Toronto hex, but Litsch has been pitching like the kid who opened the season with a 7-1 record, and he has a solid 5-2 mark at home. Bet on the Toronto Blue Jays to send Minnesota to another loss on Thursday.
