Philadelphia Phillies (2-0) vs. LA Dodgers (0-2) NLCS Predictions: After not capitalizing on the opportunities as they have presented themselves, the LA Dodgers are now down 0-2 in this best-of-seven series against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 2008 National League Championship Series now shifts to the west coast for Game 3, as things are getting a bit tense in the home team’s locker room. Odds-makers at LooseLines.com have posted the following Sports Odds for this NLCS Game 3 between the betting odds favorites Los Angeles Dodgers [-150] and the underdogs, the Philadelphia Phillies [+140]. Dodgers’ manager Joe Torre has chosen RHP Hiroki Kuroda (9-10, 3.73 ERA) as his game 3 starter. During the regular season, Kuroda faced the Phillies twice. In both occasions the righty gave LA 2 starts of two-hit, one-run ball. Kuroda was by far the Dodgers’ best pitcher against the Phils. The OVER/UNDER for this NLCS Game 3 between the Phillies vs. Dodgers is 8 total runs. However, regular season and postseason are two completely different animals. Luckily, Kuroda understands that well: "Regular season and postseason is a totally different thing," Kuroda said through a translator. "Just because I did well in the regular season doesn't mean it's going to be the same during the postseason." Managing with a heavy heart, after the passing of his mother, Phillies skipper Charlie Manuel will send to the mound, veteran LHP Jamie Moyer (16-7, 3.71 ERA) tonight. In his only start of the 2008 postseason, Moyer is 0-1, with a 4.50 ERA. In that game, Moyer lasted just 4 innings, while allowing 4 hits, 2 ER, walked 3, and punched out 3.
