Atlanta Braves (43-48) at Los Angeles Dodgers (44-46) MLB Betting: The rubber-game of this National League series from Tensile Town, has a scheduled first pitch start for Wednesday July 9th 2008 at 10:10 pm ET (7:10 pm PT). In tonight’s MLB Betting game, SBGglobal.com has the Atlanta Braves as -105 betting underdogs on the road against the -115 betting odds favorite, Los Angeles Dodgers. In the clincher of this series between managers, Joe Torre vs. Bobby Cox, both teams are desperately trying to get back to playing .500-ball before the All-Star break. After 2 games played, these teams are even at 1, and will be looking for a tie-breaker tonight. Thus far this season, the NL West has been one of the most inconsistent divisions in the NL. This has especially benefited Joe Torre and the LA Dodgers, for with a win tonight (and an Arizona loss), LA could easily draw to an even tie for 1st place in the NL West. In this Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Betting, the Over/Under is set at 7 combined total runs. The Dodgers this season under their new skipper, have been a very consistent mediocre team. They come into tonight’s game with a home record of 23-21, and have helped their cause by winning 6 of their last 10 games. Torre will hope to get a good showing from his starter. RHP Derek Lowe (6-8, 4.02) will be making his 20th start of the season for the LA, as the Blue team will try to win 2/3 from the Braves. Manager Bobby Cox will be countering with outstanding RHP Tim Hudson. Hudson will also be making his 20th start this year, as he has earned a record of 9-6, with a respectable ERA of 3.19. MLB Prediction Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees: This short 2 game series at the Stadium concludes with a Wednesday matinee starting at 1:05 pm ET as the New York Yankees (48-42) host the AL East Division leading Tampa Bay Rays (55-34). This is the way BodogLife.com has it, in this MLB Prediction: the Tampa Bay Rays as -105 betting underdogs against the New York Yankees (-115). Game 1 of this short 2-game set featured two of the best lefties in the American League going head-to-head. Wednesday’s pitching match up will be a bit different, as a seasoned RHP veteran will take on a hard-throwing RHP young fellow. The New York Yankees got a much needed quality start from LHP Andy Pettitte as he registered his 10th win of the ‘08 campaign. Pettitte pitched an absolute gem Tuesday night against Tampa Bay; throwing 8 strong innings of shutout ball, and allowing just 4 hits. Despite coming out throwing fire for the Rays, Scott Kazmir, took the loss Tuesday night as he allowed just 2 runs, but didn’t get any help from his offense. Kazmir seemed to have the Yankees’ number on the opener, as he fanned batter after batter with some high cheese. The only real mistake Kazmir made was allowing a double to SS Derek Jeter, which brought home 2 runs. The Yankees were then later to tack on 3 more runs in the ladder stags of the game, to extend their winning streak to 3 games. Wednesday’s matinee will feature RHP Sidney Ponson (5-1, 4.19 ERA, 30 K) vs. RHP Edwin Jackson (5-6, 4.08 ERA, 62 K). Minnesota Twins at Boston Red Sox MLB Pick: The Boston Red Sox (54-39) will go for the sweep of the Minnesota Twins (50-40), in a Wednesday afternoon matinee from Fenway Park in Boston starting at 1:05 pm ET. And after stealing game 2 from the Minnesota Twins, the Boston Red Sox got a little bit of help from an unlikely source Tuesday night. SportsBook.com has the Minnesota Twins as +215 betting odds underdog against the -250 betting odds favorite Boston Red Sox, in this MLB Pick. After trailing most of game 2 Tuesday night, the BoSox were able to rally back in the late going. With the Twins leading 5-3 in the home half of the 8th, and with a runner on second, LF Manny Ramirez, finally broke out of his recent hitting slump with a 2-run blast (17) that knotted things up at 5-5. In that same inning, the Sox were able to get ahead 6-5 on an RBI hit by Moss, which brought Youkilis home. In the 9th the Sox’s closer, Jonathan Papelbon, was able to come in and shut the door, earning his 27th save this season. The Over/Under for this Twins at Red Sox game 3 is set at a combined 9 total runs. Around the same time in the East coast, the New York Yankees (48-42) were able to hold off the AL East division leading Tampa Bay Rays (55-34), behind a stellar pitching performance by LHP Andy Pettitte. So by the Rays loosing and the Red Sox winning, this has put Boston within just 3 games of first place. The New York Yankees still have a ways to go, as they find themselves 7½ games out of first place. Wednesday afternoon’s pitching match up at the Fen, features two veteran RHP who have both won World Series titles with the Florida Marlins: Livan Hernandez vs. Josh Beckett. For the visiting Minnesota Twins, Livan Hernandez will try to salvage the final game of this 3-game set. Hernandez (in 19 starts) comes in with a 9-5 record, a 5.18 ERA, and 43 strikeouts in 116.1 innings pitched. Going for the sweep, Terry Francona will send to the hill Josh Beckett. Beckett, in 16 starts thus far this season, has a record of 8-5, with a 3.70 ERA, and an incredible SO-to-BB ratio of 105-22; all in 107 innings of work. Alex Rodriguez and a New Stripper: The hits just keep on coming for the New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. And just in case it hasn’t been bad enough embarrassment for A-Rod and his family, it just got worse. BodogLife.com has some very interesting Alex Rodriguez MLB Betting Odds for tonight’s Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees game 1. Just in case you live under a rock, and haven’t been keeping up with all the humiliating bad-publicity that has recently surfaced about the Hall of Fame bound baseball megastar, there’s now a brand new twist to the story… or should I say stripper? On Tuesday night’s game 1 between the Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees, who will have more hits, runs, and RBI? NYY Alex Rodriguez (-125) or TBR Carlos Pena (-105). Of course everyone remembers the famous "Stray-Rod Scandal", where Alex Rodriguez's photograph was plastered all over NYC newspapers leaving a strip club in Toronto with an unidentified blonde, during a Yankees road trip. Now, it has recently been reported that millionaire baseball player, Alex Rodriguez, who has already started the divorce process from soon to be ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez, was allegedly sexually involved with yet another woman other than Mrs. Rodriguez, while still “happily” married. Allegedly, during a New York Yankees road trip to Bean Town, A-Rod became sexually involved with a stripper named Candice “Candy” Houlihan. According to the now “retired” exotic dancer, she had a two-night stand with Stray-Rod back in 2004 in Mass. Houlinah claims, her and Rodriguez met while she attended a Yankees vs. Red Sox game: “We were really busting his chops and he walked over to us and I thought he was going to yell at us. But he introduced himself, asked me who I was and if I wanted to meet up for drinks later.” “Candy” also claims that her and A-Rod has a rendezvous later that same season, when the Yankees once again traveled to Boston for the American League Championship Series. If you remember, this is the series where the Yankees took a 3-0 series lead over the Red Sox, only to have Boston come back in historic fashion to win the series in 7 games. Candy claims they once again had sex during that series: “He said he had a big game the next day. I like to say I helped up win. I reversed the curse.” Be first to comment this article | Add as favourites (0) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 219 | E-mail | Read more... |

MLB Betting Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees: If the sound of: “The American League East Division leading Tampa Bay Rays” continues to catch you off balance, don’t worry, you’re not alone. As a matter of fact, I seriously doubt that the Tampa Bay Rays (55-33) themselves could have ever neither imagined nor predicted the success they’ve thus far enjoyed at the halfway mark of the 2008 season. According to SBGglobal.com the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees are Even at -110 in MLB betting odds ML. After sweeping the World Champion Red Sox in convincing fashion at Tropicana Field, the Rays take their confidence and momentum on the road. On Tuesday evening starting at 7:05 pm ET, the Rays and the Yanks kick off a 2-game set from the Big Ballpark in the Bronx. SBGglobal's alternative line spread: Rays +1.5 (-220) vs. Yankees -1.5 (+180). Lately, New York seems more like a circus for the struggling Yankees (47-42). A-Rod’s personal problems continue to circulate in the Bombers’ locker room, as the players are continuously bombarded by questions from the media. The Over/Under in runs for the Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees has been set at a combined 8 runs total. On Monday July 7th 2008, Alex Rodriguez’s soon to be ex-wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, filed a petition for a divorce from the Yankees’ third baseman in Miami, Fl, citing that A-Rod had emotionally abandoned his wife and children with his ongoing affairs. How much of a distraction will this be for a Yankees team who doesn’t seem to find any consistency to their game even passed the midway point of the season? One thing is certain, it doesn’t seem to bother Alex Rodriguez the least bit as he just continues to hit the ball well (batting .333 and 2 long balls since the news surfaced). A-Rod has also been voted by the fans to his 12th All Star selection. Tonight’s pitching match up is an absolute treat; as manager Joe Girardi will send to the mound the veteran LHP Andy Pettitte to face off against the Rays’ young ace, the LHP Scott Kazmir. Thus far this season, Andy Pettitte has registered a record of 9-6, with a 4.22 ERA, and 80 strikeouts in 111 innings pitched. The Rays young pitching sensation, Scott Kazmir, comes into Tuesday’s contest with a 7-3 record, along with a bulletproof ERA of 2.63, and 75 punch-outs in 72 innings of work.
