Missouri at Oklahoma State 2012 College Basketball Picks: Winning on another teams home court is always difficult in the BIG 12 Conference and covering a large point spead as a favorite is even more difficult. That’s what the No. 2 Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team are facing Tuesday night when they play the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Ok. ESPN2 will televise the game starting at 7:30 pm ET.
Mizzou is favored in this one by -8 1/2 points ATS with a combined score total (over/under) of 141. The Pokes are getting +350 College Basketball Odds to pull an upset while the moneyline price of wagering Missouri to win SU is -450 ($450 wager to win $100).
Oklahoma State is 9-10 overall this season and 2-4 in Big 12 Conference action following a 66-58 loss to 25th-ranked Kansas State on Saturday. Wednesday’s game will mark the second-straight against a ranked opponent, and third in the last four games.
Missouri is 18-1 overall, 5-1 in league play and coming off an 89-88 win over then No. 3 Baylor on Saturday. The Tigers are led by senior guard Marcus Denmon, who is averaging 17.6 points per game, one of five Tigers averaging double figures.
Missouri pulled the big road upset on Saturday by defeating then No. 2 Baylor 89-88. The Tigers covered ATS as plus-5 underdogs. The 177 combined points scored made winners of bettors who wagered OVER on the total. The Tigers have won SU in four of their last five road games, the loss coming against Kansas State Jan. 7. Missouri covered the spread in three of the five games while the total went OVER against the number in 3-of-5.
Since starting conference play, the Cowboys have struggled losing four of their last six games while losing three of their last five games at home. Over a 10 game span, OSU is 4-6 ATS. The UNDER has been the winner against the total in seven of their last 10 games and in four of their last five home games.
The Cowboys have dominated the series in games played at Gallagher-Iba, winning seven of eight since the BIG 12 formed in 1997. Tonight’s game will probably be the exception. The Pokes don’t have what it takes to beat Missouri on any court. My Pick: Missouri -8 1/2.
