The struggling Nuggets play host to the surging Mavericks tonight as the former looks to snap a rare two game home losing streak. Tonight's Western Conference clash is scheduled to get underway at 10:30pm ET at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver; it will be broadcast live on TNT. The lastest NBA Odds have the Nuggets listed as a -3 against the spread home favorite and the game total set at 210.5.
Dallas extended its present win streak to 
10 games on Wednesday night with a 102-100 victory over the Kings in Sacramento. The Mavericks, which rank seventh in the league in points per game allowed (94.7), got outrebounded 48 to 39; however, their nine three pointers enabled them to narrowly clip the hosting Kings.
Dirk Nowitzki scored just 10 points in the game, but Jason Terry and Jose Juan Barea combined for 42 off the bench to help Dallas improve to 37-15 on the season.
The Mavericks, despite their torrid run, still trail the first place Spurs by seven games in the Southwest Division. Dallas also owns second place in the Western Conference overall standings, where it holds a one game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Denver lost for the third time in its last four games last night after the Golden State Warriors knocked off Carmelo Anthony and company 116-114 at the ORACLE Arena. The setback dropped the Nuggets record to 30-23 and left them four full games behind the Thunder in the Northwest standings.
Denver, which owns a 21-7 home record, has lost its last two games at the Pepsi Center. George Karl's squad fell to the Jazz 106-113 last Friday and they lost to the Rockets 103-108 on Monday night. The Nuggets average a league best 110.3 points per game at home.
Tonight is the third meeting of the season between these two teams. Dallas and Denver played two times inside of three days in early November, each squad winning at the other's place.
