NC State at Duke 2012 College Basketball Predictions: The Duke Blue Devils have been relatively hard to get a pulse on lately. At 21-4, Mike Kryzewski’s Blue Devils are one of the best in the nation and with a Atlantic Coast Conference record of 8-2 are only a half game behind North Carolina in the league standings, currently tied for second with Florida State. However, they’ve been vulnerable at a venue one would be surprised about. They’ve lost back to back conference games in Cameron Indoor Stadium, known as one of the most intimidating home environments in college basketball, before picking up a home win over Maryland on Saturday. Thursday night the Blue Devils look to keep pace with North Carolina when they host the NC State Wolfpack in a crucial ACC game in Durham. Tipoff for tonights ESPN3 televised game is set for 9 pm ET.
The Blue Devils are listed as double-digit favorites by 10-points in this one while the combined score total is holding at 149. Wolfpack backers are getting +450 College Basketball Odds on the SBGglobal.com moneyline while the price of a SU Duke victory is -600 ($600 to win $100).
State, who’s won three straight comes to Durham well rested with a week layoff since their road win at Georgia Tech on Feb 9. With a win over Duke, the Wolfpack would join the Blue Devils with three conference losses. A victory over Duke would all but ensure an at large bid to the NCAA tournament if they don’t win the ACC tournament first. Tonight’s game is the only scheduled game between the schools this season.
Game Prediction: Duke doesn’t get caught off guard in this one but State covers +10.
