Duke at Wake Forest 2012 College Basketball Predictions: The No. 4 Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball team needs to be prepared for a fight in spite of playing Wake Forest, one of the worst team’s in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Blue Devils (25-4) are heading for a showdown for the ACC title with No. 6 North Carolina this Saturday providing they don’t step in a bucket Tuesday. Duke and North Carolina are knotted atop the ACC standings with 12-2 records. Providing Duke beats Wake Forest Tuesday and North Carolina whips Maryland on Wednesday; basketball fans will have a great betting game to look forward to on Saturday. ESPNU will televise Tuesday’s game with a 9 pm ET start time.

The last time Wake was lined a double-digit home dog was against North Carolina at +16 1/2 on Jan. 31. The Demon Deacons lost by 15 covering the spread for backers. Wake Forest played Duke on the road at Cameron Indoor Stadium on the Duke Campus Jan. 19 and covered ATS as +21 1/2 road dogs.
Wake will come out scrapping tonight but Duke is too good, with much on the line, to falter SU. However, don’t be surprised if Wake covers +13 1/2.
