by Abe Luciano on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Memphis Grizzlies (15-43) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (48-12) NBA Predictions: Thus far, Los Angeles Lakers haven't lost three straight games this whole season. That’s how dominant they’ve been. Tonight, the Lake-Show welcomes the Memphis Grizzlies to the STAPLES Center in Downtown Los Angeles, CA beginning at 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT) on Fox Sports Tennessee, FSN, and/or NBA League Pass.

It is no surprise that the Los Angeles Lakers are the Sports Odds favorites tonight, but will they satisfy this huge -15½ Sports Odds margin over the underdog Memphis Grizzlies [+15½]?

Despite coming in losers of two straight, the Lakers will be going for their 5th straight home win (27-4 home mark). Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are looking for just their 4th road win of the season (3-23 road record). The OVER/UNDER for this Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Lakers NBA Predictions has been set at a combined total of 208 points.

The last time Los Angeles lost 3 games in a row dates back to the end of January of 2008. "We're going through a period right now where everybody's just kind of tired a little bit," Kobe Bryant said. "It happens. … Everybody kind of goes through it a little bit. And this two games, we've been playing lethargic."

Tonight’s game will also have a few subplots: Pau Gasol vs. his former team and OJ Mayo coming home to Southern California. In the Grizzlies' last visit to the STAPLES, Bryant scored 53 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 114-111 loss. Pau Gasol missed that game with a sprained left ankle.
