My God, are Tracy McGrady and the Rockets on fire or what? Houston will be looking for a franchise record 16th straight victory against the Pacers. It’s funny that a month ago, some questioned if the Rockets would even make the post season. BetUS.com has the Houston Rockets as -11 point NBA betting favorites. McGrady has gotten his confidence back which has showing in his recent play and Rafer Alston has done a good job as Houston’s starting point guard. McGrady has also received better help then last season as new role players Luis Scola, Shane Battier, Carl Landry, and Luther Head have produced well. The injury to Yao Ming will definitely hurt the Rockets but the question is when. BetUS.com has the TOTAL at 203 points for Indiana Pacers vs Houston Rockets.
The Pacers are 24-36, but are only two games out of the playoffs in the joke that is the Eastern Conference. Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy have filled the gap for the injured Jermain O’Neal averaging 18.4 and 18.2 points respectively. Jamal Tinsley is quietly {amazing I said quietly and Jamal Tinsley in the same sentence right?} having a decent season averaging 11.9 points and 8.4 on a nightly basis. If Jermain O’Neal comes back and is even somewhat effective, the Pacers may be looking at the post season.
A Rockets victory sets a franchise record but a loss puts them in the pot with every other team competing in the west.
