The Western Conference's heated playoff race continues as the Houston Rockets host the New Orleans Hornets. BetOnline.com has the Orlando Magic -7 point favorites against the Golden State Warriors with a total set at 230 points.
Despite being one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season, the Orlando Magic have gone largely unnoticed. The Magic have a firm grasp on third place in the East, meaning they'll be hosting home playoff games this year.
Orlando is riding a three-game winning streak right now and has won eight of its past 10. Their offensive and defensive focal point is young superstar and 2008 Dunk Contest champion Dwight Howard. “Superman” has been amazing this year and he's averaged 21.6 points and 15.6 rebounds per game during the current winning streak. When Howard delivers, Orlando usually ends up in the win column. The Warriors have played been playing solid basketball lately, winning four in a row before Wednesday's loss in Charlotte. Their run-and-gun offense is averaging 118.2 points over the past four games, but as always the defense hasn't been very good. They're still clinging to a playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference, though. Unfortunately for Golden State, the team might just be losing its legs right now; the Orlando game will be the Warriors' fourth in five days. Orlando already beat Golden State once this year. This time around, the Warriors definitely won't have enough left in the tank. Get your Free NBA Pick in Now! Golden State at Orlando, Saturday @ 7:30 p.m. ET
