Oklahoma City Thunder vs Miami Heat NBA Basketball Odds March 16, 2011: The (46-21) Miami Heat [-7] will try to defeat a third best Western Conference team on Wednesday night when they host the NBA Betting Odds underdog (42-33) Oklahoma City Thunder [+7] from the American Airlines Arena starting at 8 PM ET (7 PM CT). The Thunder earned their seventh win in eight games on Monday against the Washington Wizards, with a nice margin of 116-89.
Former Celtic, Kendrick Perkins, made his debut with the NBA Picks underdog Oklahoma City that night, playing just 20 minutes. In that time he scored six points and had nine rebounds. After the Celtics traded the center, Perkins missed nine games because of a sprained left knee.
Kevin Durant had 32 points in that game and Russell Westbrook did his part by scoring 18 and getting 12 assists. But now the Thunder will be going up against much more confident Heat team, who is coming off a big win over the San Antonio Spurs.
The NBA Predictions favorite Miami was able to even the score from a 30-point loss on March 4th, on Monday night by defeating the Spurs 110-80. One of the big reasons for the Heat’s turnaround has been the added efforts of Chris Bosh.
Leading the way against the Spurs, Bosh scored 30 points and ended with 12 rebounds. The six-time All-Star is averaging 24.0 points on 61.4 percent shooting in his last three games, which is a vast improvement from 14.6 points and 38.3 percent shooting in the seven games before that.
The first time this season the Heat matched up against the Thunder was on January 30th, when Miami won the close game of 108-103. That night Durant scored 33, and if he can do this again tonight, Oklahoma City could get the win as the Thunder are 20-5 when he scores at least 30.
