The Mountaineers were sixth in a Big East that had eight 20-win teams, and they were beaten by Georgetown in the conference semifinals. Joe Alexander has blossomed into a solid scorer, but the Mountaineers' strength comes in coaching, where Bob Huggins roams the sidelines. Huggins has been to a Final Four before, with Cincinnati in 1992, and he knows what it takes to get there, which is a boost for his young team.
