March Madness Prediction: Texas A&M at BYU

by Steve Hastings on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

BetOnline.com has Texas A&M –1.5 point favorites as a March Madness Prediction against BYU with the total set at 129 points. The Texas A&M Aggies stumbled down the stretch to sixth in the Big 12 standings, before falling to Kansas in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Texas A&M has been offensively inconsistent all season, led by Josh Carter and Joseph Jones, but their defense is strong enough to steal games. It needs to be for a team that is dead last in the Big 12 in foul shooting.

March Madness Prediction: Texas A&M at BYUThe Cougars roared their way to the Mountain West regular-season title, but fell to UNLV in the MWC tournament final. Powered by the inside/outside game of Lee Cummard and Trent Plaisted, the Cougars get after you on both ends of the floor, and they are strong on the glass.  The Aggies are 2-point favorites in this clash, but the Cougars will have a chip on their shoulder because some do not feel that they deserved such a high seed.
