There are plenty of games on-tap in the NBA on Friday night, and a few of them feature playoff contenders including when the Phoenix Suns visit the Philadelphia 76ers. BetOnline.com has the Phoenix Suns -2.5 point favorites against the Philadelphia 76ers with the over/under set at 220.5 points.
Despite a 110-105 overtime loss to Detroit, Phoenix seems to have saved its season. After posting a paltry 3-6 record since trading for Shaquille O'Neal, the Suns rolled off seven consecutive wins before Sunday's game against the Pistons. Amare Stoudemire has been unconscious lately, averaging 31.0 points and 9.2 rebounds in his last seven games. Phoenix's recent run has got the team back into contention for first-overall in the Western Conference. Heading into Wednesday's action, the Suns trailed the first-place Lakers and Hornets by 1.5 games.
Philadelphia's surprise upset win over the Celtics on Monday gives the team two straight wins and six in its last seven games. Overall, the 76ers have gone 12-3 since late February. A big reason for their recent success has been a pair of Andres, Iguodala and Miller. One of the two has led the team in scoring in seven of the last eight games. Iguodala is averaging 22.5 points per game during that span while Miller has chipped in with 20.0 per contest. Philly's improved play has the team all the way up to sixth-place in the Eastern Conference.
Philadelphia and Phoenix have both been playing good basketball lately. Although the 76ers topped Phoenix in these teams' only match-up this season, the Suns look like they're ready to play with the big boys again. Get your Free NBA Pick in Now!
