Denver (40-33 ATS) vs Phoenix (34-36-3 ATS) will feature two of the current playoff teams in the western conference. Phoenix is currently the 5 seed and Denver is 8th after their Saturday victory over Golden State.
Denver has been playing well lately and gets almost 60 points per game from just two players in Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony. Factor that in with defensive monster Marcus Camby as well as some good young talent and you have a pretty dangerous team who still may miss the playoffs. Phoenix is a -5 point NBA Betting favorite in Denver vs Phoenix at Sportsbetting.com.
Phoenix has not been as good as expected since the arrival of Shaq while losing some of their run and gun mentality. Steve Nash is still a top player and Amare Stoudamire can only benefit from teaming up the man he is often compared to of course, Shaquille O’Neal. The Suns are only 1.5 games out of first place in the wacky West but they are not considered a major threat to finish as the top seed.
Denver needs to beat Phoenix to remain in the playoffs as Golden State will now play with even more urgency then before.
