New Orleans (45-26-1 ATS) vs Orlando (45-27-2 ATS) will feature two of the top teams in each conference looking to gain seperation from the pack. Orlando appears set in stone to finish as the number three seed behind the elite Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons while New Orleans can finish anywhere in the West (including first) due to the incredible tightness of the playoff race.

New Orleans’ incredible season has been sparked by my pick for MVP in Chris Paul as well as first time all star David West. Peja Stojakovic is quietly having a nice season following his injuries last year and has suited himself better in the complementary role as opposed to being a star like he was in Sacramento. Tyson Chandler is finally starting to show that he is worth the money Chicago signed him for a few years ago and is becoming a mini Marcus Camby in leading the Hornets defense. Sportsbetting has New Orleans as -1 NBA BETTING favorites.

NBA Picks: New Orleans vs OrlandoThe Magic are a much better team then a year ago. The signing of solid producer Rashard Lewis and the emergence of Hedo Turkoglu (Most Improved Player anyone?) has helped them maintain the three seed. Oh how did I forget, the best center in the NBA plays for Orlando his name is Dwight Howard and he gives you 21.2 points 2.3 blocks and a league leading 14.4 rebounds per game! Sportsbetting has the TOTAL at 208 points.

New Orleans must defeat Orlando as the Magic are basically set on where they will be seeded in the post season and the Hornets themselves probably couldn’t even tell you where they may end up following the regular season!
