Final Four 2010: Durrell Summers Betting Odds: Michigan State junior shooting guard, Durrell Summers is looking like he can give the Spartans the upper hand in defeating Butler on Saturday for a chance at the 2010 National championship. How do you think Durrell Summers will do in tonight’s Final Four 2010 game: Will Durrell Summers score OVER 13½ or UNDER 13½ points against the Bulldogs defense?
Summers is averaging 20 points in his last four games. On Sunday’s win against Tennessee, he scored 21 points and 8 of 10 shooting. The young shooting guard earned the most outstanding player honors for the Midwest Region. "Durrell has been dynamite," said proud coach Tom Izzo. "He's been playing his best basketball.”
The 6-foor-4, 205-pound, 21-year-old is making 56 percent of his overall shots, and has scored 80 points in the NCAA tournament. But the Spartan is not a stranger to success. As a high school senior, Summer was averaging 34.5 points a game, 16.5 rebounds, and 4.0 steals.
But despite so much talent, such a young age can cause players such as Summers to have trouble keeping focused. "We've had a million talks," Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo said. "He's a lot like Morris Peterson was when he was here. It took Morris a couple years to focus and mature and Durrell is going through the same thing now. Durrell is a good kid. He just has trouble focusing on the task at hand."
If Summers can keep the focal point in mind, he should prove to be a great threat for Butler. What do you think? Bet on the Final Four 2010 at at online sportsbook Bodog.com and receive a 10% Deposit Bonus and start winning today!
