NBA Picks: Raptors vs Cavaliers NBA Odds – April 6, 2010: After earning home-court advantage throughout the playoffs despite a loss on Sunday, the (60-17) Cleveland Cavaliers [-6½] look to get into the win column when the sports betting odds underdog (38-38) Toronto Raptors [+6½] invade the Quicken Loans Arena. This Eastern Conference battle is scheduled to tipoff at 7:10 PM ET and it will be broadcasted live on FSO and/or TSN in Canada.
By going just 5-5 in their last 10 games played, the Raptors have fallen all the way down to the 8th and final
spot on the Eastern Conference playoff standings. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, have accomplished anything a team can hope to do at the start of the season. According to NBA Odds makers at SPORTSBOOK.com, the OVER/UNDER between the Raptors and the Cavs has been set at a combined total of 205½ points scored.
For Toronto, it must be very careful from here on out, as the Bulls are making a late-surge for that spot by winning two in a row. Going into tonight, Chicago trails Toronto by just 1 game for the last postseason spot. The Raptors are coming off a disappointing 112-113 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Easter Sunday.
“This one stings a little bit given our situation, how we need every game,” Chris Bosh said after the game. “I don't let that one play dictate my whole game, my whole season or my whole month.”
With five games remaining on their regular season schedule, LeBron James & Co. have already won the East and claimed the best regular season record in the league, which of course means home-court advantage all the way through the NBA Finals should they get that far.
“Guys, in order to be great, have to have a lot of confidence,” Cavs head coach Mike Brown said. “You have to have confidence to take big shots, and at times take some risks. … If he felt like he had a clean look at it, fire away.”
