The madness comes to a conclusion… tonight Monday April 7, 2008 the Kansas Jayhawks (36-3) will battle it out against the Memphis Tigers (38-1) for all the marbles at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, TX. The game will be seen nationwide on the CBS network in primetime at 9:21pm ET (scheduled tip-off). The two No. 1 seeded teams have had a long journey and both have defeated some admirable opponents. Memphis is a -2 point favorite with O\U at 148 points for the 2008 NCAA championship basketball game.

Many people including experts are calling this year’s NCAA championship game  a lackluster one. The UNC Tar Heels were the hands down the favorites to win it all for the entirety of the season as well as the post-season. But, Kansas had other plans. The Jayhawks cruised to an 18-pt victory over the Heels, and could be the ones cutting down the net tonight at around 11:30 pm ET. For the Jayhawks this would mark their first NCAA championship crown in 20 years and the first since being in the Big 12.

The difference tonight will lie on how both teams can execute their game plans on offense, but most importantly on the defensive end. The team that takes better care of the rock and has the fewest turnovers will be victorious tonight.
