Phoenix (36-38-3 ATS) vs San Antonio (35-40-2 ATS) puts two teams who are guaranteed to make the playoffs against one another in what figures to be an important game. With only a few games remaining in the regular season, San Antonio and Dallas are 1 and 2 ½ games out of first respectively and a first place finish is still possible for any of the top six teams in the Western Conference. The San Antonio Spurs are -6.5 betting favorites in Phoenix vs San Antonio.

San Antonio has had some ups and downs during the season. They have won 9 of their last 10 games at the best time possible (prior to the winning streak, the Spurs lost an uncharacteristic 6 of 7 games). The Spurs are also finally healthy as Parker and Ginobili have consistently been on the court right as the post season rolls around.

APhoenix Suns vs San Antonio Spurs NBA Betting Previewlthough many people consider Tim Duncan to be having an off season, 19.5 points 11.9 rebounds 2.9 assists and 1.9 blocks per game are still all league type numbers. The addition of Kurt Thomas and the re-signing of Brent Barry (Gary Payton rule anyone) will definitely help San Antonio’s
hope of repeating as NBA champions for the first time.

Phoenix is finally starting to gel as a team after some early problems with Shaquille O’Neal in the line up.  Amare Stoudemire has been playing well a vintage version of his new front court buddy. Steve Nash is still a great point guard regardless of how much better Chris Paul is then anyone else at that position this year and Leandro “The Brazilian Blur” Barbosa creates tons match up problems off the bench for anyone (ask Phil Jackson about the 2007 playoffs). Phoenix figures to be a dangerous team if they gel in the playoffs ad a front court of Shaq and Amare Stoudemire will be hell to deal with.

Each team could use a victory tonight as anyone can still end up anywhere in the playoff rankings due to the tightness of the Western Conference.
