Utah (43-35 ATS) vs Dallas (34-40-4 ATS) will feature two teams that are assured to make the playoffs in the Western Conference. The Dallas Mavericks are a -4 point NBA betting favorite with the Total at 199 points at Sportsbook.com..
The Jazz have already clinched the Northwest division as the only other team in the division competing for a playoff spot is Denver (who is currently tied for the final spot with Golden State). Utah is currently l ooking very dangerous as their young superstars Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer have only improved since last season. Andrei Kirilenko is returning to the well rounded player he was a few years ago and lights out shooter Kyle Korver will be a huge factor for the Jazz in the playoffs.
Dallas is guaranteed a playoff spot but where they may end up seeding wise is still up for grabs. Dirk Nowitzki is healthy again which is great news for the Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki is healthy again which is great news for the Mavericks. Regardless of what has happened during the regular season record wise, there is no way adding future hall of fame point guard Jason Kidd can make your team any worse especially when you have the defending league MVP as well as players who can light it up like Josh Howard and Jason Terry. With Utah basically set, Dallas is the only team who can really benefit in terms of playoff seeding with a victory.
