Heat vs 76ers Odds 2011 NBA Playoff Picks: After a long and at times controversial season, the second seeded Heat have made it to the playoffs, but will they be able to prove to their critics that they are worthy of making it to the NBA Finals? The first Sports Betting Odds challenge for Three Kings will come in the form Brotherly Love.
The seventh seeded, NBA Odds underdog (41-41) Philadelphia 76ers [+11] will travel to sunny South Florida to take on the
greatly favorite (58-24) Miami Heat [-11] Saturday starting at 3:30 PM ET (2:30 PM CT/12:30 PM PT) from the American Airlines Arena. Besides the two-time defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers, all eyes have been on the “Three Kings” and the Miami Heat this season.
The acquisition of LeBron James and Chris Bosh brought about many new fans in Miami as well as many haters around the country. The Heat have enjoyed a roller coaster kind of year, but have recently been able to put more pieces together defeating teams like the Boston Celtics, earning them the second seed in the playoffs.
“You don’t ever know if you’re going to win a championship until you get there, but you know you have the pieces that can compete for one,” Wade said. “That’s where we’re at right now.”
The Heat’s first challenge will be Andre Iguodala and the 76ers. Despite starting off terribly, losing 13 of their first 16 games, Philadelphia also found a way to get their act together. The Sixers come into the playoffs as the No. 7 seed in the East, but were not able to finish off the season strong having lost five of their last six games.
