Carmelo Anthony addressed the media last night apologizing for his D.U.I arrest Monday morning at 4 AM. Anthony failed a number of different sobriety test before being clinked. Anthony is no stranger to trouble and despite his sterling play averaging 25.8 PPG on the hardwood, it is still a sign that the playoff bound Nuggets are not completely focused. BetWay.com has the Denver Nuggets at 40-1 odds to win the NBA Championship. Denver (49-32 SU) clinched a playoff birth the night after their stars arrest but the doubt still looms a bout how far Denver will go with the 23-year old Carmelo Anthony as the leader. It was rumored that Anthony received preferential treatment for his arrest with one cop taking Anthony’s car to a parking lot and the other driving Anthony personally to his Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The treatment was denied by the officers. Anthony had this to say: “What happened Monday morning is truly and totally unacceptable.” Anthony submitted to a blood test but the results will not be available for 10 days from the arrest date.
