The third game of this first round best of seven series will take place Friday night at 10:30 pm EDT from Phoenix, AZ on ESPN. The Phoenix suns will to protect home court as they fight off the San Antonio Spurs who have put a strangle hold in this series by winning the first two games at home. Sportsbetting.com has the Phoenix Suns NBA Betting favorites –7 (reduced –105 juice) when they host the San Antonio Spurs +7 with the Over/Under set at 195 total.

The Suns regardless of being down 0-2 to the reigning NBA champions aren’t panicking. Coach Mike D’Antoni went on to say this team feels very confident going into Phoenix down 0-2 to the Spurs. D’Antoni told the Associated Press he wouldn’t make any major changes to their game plan, and that they felt good about the way everything was going. The Suns were a good team during the regular season at home; they went 30-11 at home. Meanwhile, the visiting Spurs finished off the season with a 22-19 mark on the road; but none of this matters in the postseason.

In both games in this series the Suns have jumped out to early leads, but only to surrender them in the second half.

As soon as the Spurs turn up their defensive intensity, Phoenix has looked overmatched. The Suns aren’t just being outplayed coming out of the locker room after halftime; more so, they are being out-coached by a guy who has seen it all in this game, Greg Popovich.

Playoff games are a combination of mini-runs anchored by adjustments and counter moves. The team that is able to exploit weak areas in the opposing team is usually the one that will win in seven game series.

The keys to this series so far haven’t been the superstars; they are always going to get theirs. The key to the Spur’s success over the first two games has been the play of NBA sixth man Manu Ginobili. The Suns also don’t have an answer for the Spurs penetrating offensive attack all generated by one man, Tony Parker.

NBA Playoff Pick: (tonight’s game will come down to the wire and even if the Suns pull off the victory, count on the Spurs to make it a closer contest than 8 points; simply because they will get defensive stops in critical situations) SAS +7
