Call me Phil Rizzuto but HOLY COW! I would never have believed that the Philadelphia 76ers would not only hold a 2-1 series lead, but would have beaten the title contending Pistons by 20 points period! The Detroit Pistons are -5 point NBA betting favorites on the road against the 76ers in game 4.
Philadelphia has been quite the surprise as Mo Cheeks has continued to do a phenomenal job of coaching his less talented team over a Pistons squad that has one of the best starting lineups in NBA basketball. Andre Igoudala and Andre Miller have both had a great series but without the unexpected offensive help from Reggie Evans, and the inside defensive dominance of Samuel Dalembert, this may be a 3-0 series as expected with the Pistons looking at a sweep. The OVER\UNDER on the Detroit Pistons at Philadelphia 76ers is 179 points.
Detroit’s effort in game two was pitiful and that may be a compliment. Chauncey Billups has been uncharacteristically outplayed by Andre Miller while severely struggling from the field. Detroit’s bench has played poorly as well and now with the injury to Antonio McDyess, they may have to depend even more on a member of the team not named Hamilton, Billups, Prince, or Wallace. Detroit’s shocking blowout loss and series deficit has been the talk of the NBA playoffs and they must make a major statement in game 4 tonight to silence their critics. Look for Detroit to rebound with their backs against the ball with an inspired effort. PLAY: Detroit Pistons -5
