At SportsBook.com, NBA Playoffs expert oddsmakers have posted the absolute best Sports Odds for tonight’s Game 5 between the hosting favorites, Los Angeles Lakers [-12½] and the visiting underdogs, Utah Jazz [+12½].
For Los Angeles, it is all about closing out the series tonight. With a victory, the Lake-Show will not have to go back to Salt Lake City at least until next season.
"It's very important. I love Utah, but I'd rather not see it again until next year,” Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said Sunday. "We've got to be ready.”
LA is coming off a statement game, as it dominated the Jazz at home to the tune of 108-94. Bryant was the high-man in Game 4 with 38 points, as he came out with a chip on his shoulder from the start, after finishing 5-24 from the field two nights before.
Lakers center/power forward, Pau Gasol said they need to play with that mentality the whole game Monday night in order to close out the series. "You come out really aggressive, don't give them any life, any hope,” Gasol said. "Really start hard, set the tone early. Control the game. Make the game yours. That's what we're going to try to do. We're going to try to close the series and move on.”
