In these 2008 NBA Playoffs, the Boston Celtics have been great when playing at the Boston Garden. There’s absolutely no reason, for my NBA Prediction, to differ from that. This best-of-seven game series is currently tied at 2-2, with Boston reserving (a possible) game 7 tiebreaker, at the house (Red) Auerbach built. Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday night, starting at 8 pm EST on Turner Sports, TNT. SBGglobal.com has the Boston Celtics a - 8 ½ points favorite against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the O/U set at 176.5 combined total in game 5. The Detroit Pistons, eliminated the Orlando Magic (Tuesday night), and have once again advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals. Detroit will sit back and rest their players, as they will be keeping a close eye on what happens in the remaining games of this series. While Detroit awaits the winner of this series, you can bet they would love to: A. Avoid playing the Celtics, and B. Get a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Playoffs Finals (with the Cleveland Cavaliers). This series has been an offensive nightmare, for both clubs, and for some superstars, one to forget. LeBron James hasn’t exactly set the world on fire with his play, in this series, shooting the ball miserably. The same can be said of Paul Pierece, and Ray Allan. This series is likely to go 7, unless one of these “superstars” can step up and finally live up to the expectations set forth at the beginning of this series. I like Boston at home Wednesday night. My NBA Prediction: BOS - 8 ½ Bonus Prediction: OVER 176.5
