For the San Antonio Spur’s reign as NBA Champions to survive another day, they will have to do what seemingly every team in this second round (except for Orlando) has done so far. They must protect home court advantage for one last time, in order to force a game 7 back in the Big Easy. My NBA Playoffs Prediction will show San Antonio will be able to accomplish that. If the Spurs are able to hold serve in game 6 tonight, they'll have a chance steal this series from Byron Scott and the New Orleans Hornets. The Spurs need to treat this game like a game 7, as far as coming out from the tip-off, with that mentality and that kind of intensity. Sportsbetting.com has the San Antonio Spurs a - 7 point favorites at home against the New Orleans Hornets (+7) and the Over/Under set at 184 combined total points.

The New Orleans Hornets were indeed the surprise of then year during the regular season. And in the playoffs, they continue to do the same. For most of the regular season, the Hornets showed sings of being a great team, but no one really bought it. However, by now these players certainly have changed popular opinion, as they lead the series 3-2. Currently the Hornets are 3-4 in close out games.

The San Antonio Spurs will face elimination tonight at home.

"The bottom line is that the better team wins in a seven-game series,'' Gregg Popovich said. "I've always said that. So whoever wins the series it will be because they're the better team.''

The Spurs hope to get a chance to win the series, by winning tonight, and forcing a deciding game 7 back in New Orleans.

NBA Playoffs Prediction SAS – 7

In five games, these teams have scored a combined 938 total points, that an average of 187.6 points per game. I like the OVER on this one.
