2009 NBA Finals MVP Odds: Kobe Bryant vs. Dwight Howard: With the NBA’s regular season Most Valuable Player, LeBron James gone fishing, there’s still a piece of hardware to be given out to the individual considered the MVP of the 2009 NBA Finals.
This year, the NBA has worked so hard at making people fall in love with LeBron, calling him “The King” even though he doesn’t rule anything. But it appears that even James is starting to believe the hype, calling himself a "winner" even after losing in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Then, a classless James rudely refused to do his job: 0 postgame interviews after Game 6.
Again, the league didn’t fine him… why? Is he really that much above the game, David Stern?
Nevertheless and correct me if I’m wrong, but last time I checked, people were considered winners when they actually won in the postseason, not when they lost.
Furthermore, last time I checked, LeBron James is yet to win an NBA title. So how can you call yourself a “winner”… and by the way, winning in high school doesn’t count.
Oh and for the record, I also do believe LeBron will have his time as the "King" of the league. But how about we let him earn that title rather than just giving it to him?
However, a winner will be crown after the 2009 NBA Finals are completed. Unless of course, another Jerry West surfaces out of nothing and for the second time in the history of the league, we may have a Finals MVP crown on the losing squad.
This year, the NBA got the puppets all-wrong, well at least one of them, as it will be a two-horse race between Kobe Bryant vs. Dwight Howard for the 2009 NBA Finals MVP Odds.
