The Los Angeles Lakers return home to the Staples Center in Los Angeles facing a virtual must-win Game Three on Tuesday night.  The Lakers did not play well in losing the first two games in Boston and now must turn things around quickly if they are to get back into the NBA Finals.  The goal for the Lakers will be to win all three home games but history is not on their side.  Since the league went to the 2-3-2 format beginning in 1985, only two teams have ever won all three games.  Detroit did it in 2004 and Miami did it in 2006. SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Celtics on the Road.

Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson also knows that it is tough to win all three games at home. "The duration of three games on one court, those have always been tough to maintain," Jackson said. "I've had teams that have been on the road and won three games in a row, but I can't ever remember winning three the other way around as a home coach in the Finals. Those are always tough."
