For the 5th ranked Villanova, their season also got off to a perfect start, as they’re looking to go 3-0 for the third straight year. The Wildcats opened the new season with an 84-61 win over Fairleigh Dickinson, followed by a 103-65 thrashing of cross-town rivals, Pennsylvania Quakers. “We kept playing well,” said coach Jay Wright. “If we stopped playing, I kept thinking of calling a timeout. We kept playing. It was fun to be a part of that.”
