Charles Barkley Arrested for DUI: On early Wednesday morning, former NBA star and Hall of Famer, Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving in Scottsdale, Arizona.

According to various reports, Gilbert police Lt. Eric Shuhandler, an officer with a law enforcement task force that targets drunk drivers, witnessed the NBA Hall of Famer run a stop sign around 1:30 AM. After being pulled over, the ever-controversial Barkley refused to cooperate with a Breathalyzer-test, but was given a blood one instead. The results will become available on a later date.
Thus, the 45-year-old Barkley was then booked, processed, cited and released. “There was nothing unusual about how he was taken into custody,” Shuhandler said. “He was treated exactly like we treat anybody else.” Barkley left in a cab, Shuhandler said.
Barkley was arrested in Scottsdale's Old Town area, one of the trendiest spots in the Phoenix metro area. Currently an TV commentator for TNT’s “Inside the NBA”, Barkley was selected as one the NBA's 50 greatest players in 1996, and was inducted into the 2006 Basketball Hall of Fame.
