LeBron James Father Files $4 Million Law Suit? Even when everything is looking so bright for free agent LeBron James, who is about to decide who he will be signing with, there can always be a dark cloud lingering. James and his mother Gloria James, are being sued by a man that claims to be LeBron’s biological father.
According to Leicester Bryce Stovell, he has tried to prove his paternity but LeBron and his mother have allegedly been tampering with the evidence. Stovell claims that he met Gloria in D.C. in 1984. The two supposedly had unprotected consensual sex on the night they met. He was 29, and he later found out that she was only 15.
Stovell is a Princeton graduate with a law degree from the University of Chicago. He went on to become a Senior Legal Advisor for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In the lawsuit, Stovell says that Gloria came back to Ohio after several months to tell him that she was pregnant with a boy named LeBron. He remembers telling her, "Well, if he's mine, make sure he plays basketball."
After seeing what could be his son on TV, Stovell contacted Gloria in 2007 to start the process of a DNA paternity test. Both parties agreed. When he was given the results, they showed he was not the father. He now believes that Gloria and LeBron tampered with the results.
He is now filing a suit of $4 million from both LeBron and his mother for claiming fraud, defamation, and misrepresentation. Will LeBron James stay in his hometown? Or will he try to improve his chances at a championship and head over to sunny South Florida and join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh? Just a few more hours and let the ESPN spectacle begin!
LeBron James Betting Odds to Sign with Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers: After what has seemed like an eternity, the most popular free agent on the market has finally made up his mind. If the rumors are true, or if Miami fans are just daydreaming, it will all be cleared up tonight as LeBron James makes his decision public on live at 9 PM on ESPN on an event that is cleverly called… “The Decision”.
LeBron James will be live at a Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich, Conn. It will be an hour-long event where he will be sitting down for an interview with Jim Gray, and then followed by a detailed analysis from Stuart Scott, Jon Barry and Michael Wilbon.
One can only imagine what else ESPN would have come up with, if LeBron had actually won a championship or an NBA finals game at that in the past seven years. For those looking to be a part of history, LeBron James Betting Odds makers at SPORTSBETTING.com believe that the race for LBJ is between two teams: Miami Heat [2/5 or -250 ML] vs Cleveland Cavaliers [2/5 or -250 ML].
But all of this is to be expected from a man that has always demanded so much attention. But has this become an out of control circus, or is it just giving it the importance it deserves? James has been getting criticism for making too much of an ordeal over this “decision”. Many believe he is using this hour-long production to promote the James brand and that ESPN has taken this too far.
Either way, what basketball fans want to know is where the 25-year-old, two-time MVP will end up. Will he stay in his hometown? Or will he try to improve his chances at a championship and head over to sunny South Florida and join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh? Just a few more hours and let the ESPN spectacle begin!
LeBron James to Join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami Heat? The Miami Heat has secured two of the three top free agents available on Wednesday. Heat fans will be glad to know that Dwyane Wade will be back next season and will definitely have some help. Miami lured Chris Bosh into moving down to South Beach and trying to make a run at it with the Heat.
The third top free agent, LeBron James, is said to make his decision on Thursday. But it will not be any regular old press conference. James will announce whom he will be signing with on prime time with ESPN at 9 PM ET. Florida media still claims that there is a chance that James will join Wade and Bosh in order to make it a deadly threesome.
“It’s no secret that myself, Chris and LeBron are all good friends,” Dwayne Wade said. “We all came into this league together, played together, but we all make our decisions at the end of the day. Of course, we would love LeBron to join Miami. Who wouldn’t?”
But James has met with five other teams, including the New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, as well as the New York Knicks. To continue with the buzz, Lebron created his first everTwitter account that had 200,000 followers in one day. During the press conference Bosh was asked if he wanted to give LeBron one last motivating message to get him to join them in Miami and he responded:
“I am going to let him do his thing,” Bosh said. “I am not going to mess with him. He’s got enough people in his ear ... Good luck, LeBron.”
With its newest acquisitions, what are the Miami Heat's chances of winning the 2010-11 NBA Finals Betting Odds next season? Boston Celtics vs LA Lakers Game 7 NBA Finals 2010 Picks & Predictions: The 2010 NBA championship has all come down to this: a decisive Game 7 between the sports betting odds underdog (3-3) Boston Celtics [+7] and the defending NBA champion (3-3) Los Angeles Lakers [-7] at the STAPLES Center in LA-LA Land, California. Game 7 of the NBA Finals 2010 Picks & Predictions is scheduled to tipoff tonight at 9 PM ET (8 PM CT/6 PM PT) and it will all be broadcasted live on ABC Sports.
“It's historic, especially when you talk about these teams and what they stand for, the pride,” said LA Lakers forward Lamar Odom hours before tipoff. “This is what you envision when you're a kid in your backyard. Counting down, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...”
For the Lakers, it all comes down to winning the franchise’s 16th NBA title, which would put the Purple and Gold just one more NBA championship behind their hated, longtime rivals, Boston Celtics who currently have 17 titles.
“I guess it's going to be another decade that people look back and see the formation of this rivalry again,” said Lakers head coach Phil Jackson, who will be playing for his 11th ring as an NBA head coach. “The '90s was missed, and the '70s was missed, but the '60s and the '80s were big decades. It seems to skip a decade, doesn't it?”
“It's got nothing to do with me,” stated Bryant, who will likely win his second consecutive NBA Finals MVP trophy with a victory tonight in Game 7. “(When) I look back, years from now, or even when I was a kid, (if) you'd talk about being in this situation, I'd be really excited. But when I'm in the moment right now, I've got to play. I've got to focus on that. I can't focus on the hype about it.”
For the green team, the challenge now becomes picking themselves up after a demoralizing defeat in Game 6. Another guy trying to add to his legacy as a player is Paul Pierce, who would join an elite list of players to have won multiple championships as a Celtic. To accomplish this, Boston will have to win on the road against the defending champs.
“I just love the pressure,” Pierce stated. “I love the fact that I get to play against the Los Angeles Lakers in a Game 7 on the road. I love the fact that if I don't win multiple championships that I probably won't be mentioned amongst the other guys in Celtic history that have done it before. That type of stuff motivates me. That's what the challenge is for me, every time I put on this Celtic uniform.”
“I think about how bad and how much it would hurt if we don't come out as winners,” Lakers center Pau Gasol said. “I keep that thought in my mind sometimes, just to understand that I have to do everything possible out there to help my team in any way I can. You want to leave everything you have out there, and compete as hard as you've ever competed.”
“It's all-out,” Kevin Garnett added. “It's for the marbles, it's for everything, all-out. You save nothing. You leave nothing.”

The total points for the Over/Under in Game 7 of the Lakers Vs Celtics are currently sitting at 187 points which is the lowest total to date in these NBA Finals. Odds for the Over/Under 187 points are sitting at (-110). The total has gone Under in the last 6/7 games when the Lakers played the Celtics.
The Celtics have the Lakers exactly where they want them, over confident and heavy favorites. NBA Finals history has shown us that Game 7 victories don’t come from stats or fans, but from the hearts of champions. The Lakers have Bryant and Fisher willing to do anything for a win, but the Celtics have Garnett, Allen and Pierce willing to go the extra mile for a win. My pick is to take the Celtics +7 (-110) points and to take the Under 187 points at -110.
