2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Odds

kentucky john calipariIf the college basketball odds makers at Bovada.lv are correct, the 2016 Final Four could look similar to this year’s versions, which featured Kentucky, Michigan State, Duke and Wisconsin. Opening 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Odds from the offshore bookmaker have the Wildcats and Spartans, along with Roy Williams’ North Carolina Tar Heels, listed as a 10 to 1 favorites to win the title next year.

Defending National Champion Duke is not far behind, coming in as a 14 to 1 fifth pick to win the school’s sixth NCAA basketball championship. Between the top three favorites and the Blue Devils are the Big Ten’s Maryland Terrapins at 12 to 1 odds.

Wisconsin is further down the line at 40 to 1 odds, but that is understandable as it is losing a number of its biggest contributors, including Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker.

Duke will suffer a similar fate, though. Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow and Jahlil Okafor have all declared for the 2015 NBA Draft. Kentucky, however, is losing the biggest crop of players with Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Trey Lyles, Willie Cauley-Stein, Dakari Johnson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker all looking to find a spot in the NBA.

North Carolina, it would appear, is not the same situation. The Tar Heels are losing junior forward J.P. Tokoto, but thus far he is the only UNC underclassmen to declare for the June draft. That means the core of a team that made a run to the Elite Eight with return in tact.
