2017 CFP National Championship Odds

2017 cfp oddsOhio State and Alabama won the first two CFP National Championships and if the college football odds makers at Bovada.lv are correct, one of them with hoist the third College Football Playoff Trophy. Opening 2017 CFP National Championship Odds from the offshore book have the Buckeyes and Crimson Tide both lined at +700 odds to claim next year’s title.

It is more than fair to say Nick Saban has built a dynasty in Tuscaloosa, winning four national championships since arriving at Alabama in 2007. Urban Meyer has some ground to make up, but not much.

Meyer won two BCS titles while at Florida and he garnered his third national championship trophy when his 2014 Ohio State squad won the first ever College Football Playoff. Meyer has also pieced together a 50-4 record since taking over the Buckeyes football program in 2012.

So it is say to assume these two schools — especially when considering the recruiting prowess of Meyer and Saban — will be in the thick of next year’s title chase.

Another Big Ten squad, Michigan, is also expected to make a strong playoff push next season. The program, one of the most prestigious in all of college football, produced just 46 wins between 2008 and 2014, but Jim Harbaugh took a large step toward turning the Wolverines around in 2015.

Michigan posted a 10-3 record in Harbaugh’s first season and it blasted No. 19 Florida 41-7 in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl. The dramatic improvement on the sidelines coupled with one of the nation’s top recruiting classes has the Wolverines sharing the No. 3 spot on Bovada’s list with Clemson. Both schools are getting +750 odds to win the 2017 College Football Playoff.
