College Football Odds Week 7

ohio state urban meyerThis week’s college football slate may not pack the punch of last week’s lineup, but it is a good one nonetheless. Three of the nation’s top five teams will look to remain undefeated, including top ranked Alabama and No. 2 Ohio State. And both of those squads face formidable road tests, squaring off against No. 9 Tennessee and No. 8 Wisconsin, respectively. Opening College Football Odds Week 7 are favoring the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes, though.

Ohio State is drawing a -10.5 line against the Badgers and Alabama is laying 13 at Neyland Stadium. The Buckeyes have dominated the Badgers both historically and recently. The Badgers have dropped seven of their last eight against Ohio State and they produced a 1-6-1 ATS record in those eight contests.

The Crimson Tide has abused the Volunteers in similar fashion, having won nine straight in the series (6-3 ATS).

Both Tennessee and Wisconsin are coming off their first losses of the season. The Badgers fell 14-7 at No. 4 Michigan on October 1 while the Volunteers were tripped up 45-38 at Texas A&M on Saturday.

Other top 10 teams in action this week are Clemson, Louisville and Nebraska. The third ranked Tigers will host NC State on Saturday; they are favored by 17.5 over the Wolfpack. The Cardinals welcome Duke to Papa John Cardinal Stadium on Friday night and the odds makers are anticipating an ugly greeting, making Louisville a -34 favorite.

The Huskers, who improved to 5-0 with a 31-16 win over Illinois on October 1, will travel to Bloomington where they will battle the Hoosiers. Nebraska is a -4.5 road favorite.

College Football Odds Week 7 Betting Trends:

Wisconsin is 3-1 straight up and 4-0 against the spread in its last four games playing as a dog coming off a road game.

Tennessee is 0-5 straight up and 1-4 against the spread in its last five games playing as a home dog coming off a road loss.

The Over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings between Kansas State and Oklahoma.
