2013 BCS Bowl Predictions

Below we have broke down the opening betting lines and current bowl game point spreads for each of the five BCS Bowl games (Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta & BCS National Championship Game).

First up is the 2013 Rose Bowl Game between the Wisconsin Badgers and Stanford Cardinal which kicks off at 5:00 PM EST on January 1st. The odds makers opened the point spread on this game showing Stanford -7 point favorites against Wisconsin. As of right now, Badger backers have bid the line down to make the Cardinal a -6 point favorite.

The second BCS Bowl on the schedule will be the 2013 Orange Bowl between the Florida State Seminoles and the Northern Illinois Huskies which kicks off in Sun Life Stadium at 8:30 PM EST. The odds makers opened the betting line on this game showing FSU -14 point favorites against NIU. As of right now, Huskies backers have bid the spread down to make the Seminoles a -13 point favorite.

The third BCS Bowl is the 2013 Sugar Bowl which takes place on January 2nd in New Orleans and will feature the Florida Gators and the Louisville Cardinals with kick off slated for 8:30 PM EST. The odds makers opened the spread on this game showing Florida a heavy -15 point favorite against Louisville. Money poured in on the Cardinals driving the line down to its current rest spot showing the Gators as a -14 point favorite.

The fourth BCS Bowl will take place in the desert of Glendale, Arizona at 8:30 PM EST in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl which will showcase the battle between the Kansas State Wildcats and the Oregon Ducks. The odds makers opened the line on this game showing Oregon -8 point favorites against Kansas State. This spread appeared too weak for the early betting public and has moved up with money pouring in on the Ducks making the Wildcats +9 point dogs.

The final game in the Bowl Championship Series is the BCS National Championship Game which will also kick off in Sun Life Stadium and feature the No. 1 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish putting their undefeated record on the line against the No. 2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. This game kicks off on January 7th at 8:30 PM EST. The odds makers opened the point spread on this game with the lower ranked Alabama squad -7.5 point favorites against Notre Dame. Tide backers slammed this number pushing it up to make the Fighting Irish a +10 point underdog.
