Online sportsbook SBGglobal.com has released betting odds on artists and songs up for Best Artist, Best Song and Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, where the recording industry will reward the best of 2008. The Grammy Awards will air from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 8 on CBS.
While the Grammy’s reward 31 categories from Polka to Comedy, only three major areas are open to wagering; those are Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
Unlike previous years when one artist dominated voting in major categories, expectations seem more balanced in 2009. In other words, there are no clear cut winners.
Only rock group Cold Play is nominated in the top three categories, however; the group isn’t a clear cut favorite to run away with multiple awards.
