American Idol Odds are out and the madness has started again for the 9th season of the show. January 12th opened the floor for the great and the awful to show the judges what they could belt out. The final 24 have been chosen and tonight at 8PM will feature the 12 girls who will be looking to show American what they’re made of. You can go to BODOG.com to get the best odds on all the American Idol contestants.
This season has had it’s share of talk and controversy but the big news was that Paula Abdul would not be returning and Ellen DeGeneres would be the replacement. The biggest star of the show would have to be love/hate judge, Simon Cowell, and everyone was shocked when he made the announcement that he would not be returning next season.
“I do miss her… even though we used to argue a lot, she was somebody I just got very close to over the years,” Simon Cowell said on missing Paula. “We'd hang out together after the show. She always made me laugh; I always thought she was funny. It was just like not having your friend on the show anymore.”
BODOG.com has the best early American Idol Odds on the favorites. The favorites to win American Idol Season 9 are showing Ashley Rodriguez and Didi Benami 7 to 1 odds. However, I’ve taken a strong liking to 17 year old Katie Stevens with 13-2 odds.
"You have to be good-looking," jokes Simon Cowell on who should replace him. "They really have to have experience so you don't just criticize, but you can actually offer constructive advice as well. You genuinely need to know what you're talking about. I think over the years judges have been replaced by personalities. That, in the long-term, will create problems because you have to be able to spot a star. So whoever replaces me, my advice has always been to find somebody who actually knows what they're talking about and has actually experienced success in the music business," Simon Cowell further states on one possibility of a replacement for him. "Perez would be funny. You know, he has good taste in music, he's a personality. I mean, that could work."
Although Simon Cowell believes a girl will win it this season, you can see for yourself who will reign supreme when the guys perform tomorrow night.
